Nokia Lumia 920 and Lumia 820 both coming to Australia in November
21.05.13
So the (new) Nokia Lumia’s are going to land in November. The question is, how “outdated” will they be then…? The iPhone will be out for at least a month, And countless (maybe not that many) Windows 8 Phones will be shown off.
Not to mention the New Nexus phone landing as well. Or shall we say a whole slew of phones? It has be (strongly) rumored that a whole Slew of Nexus devices will land. So we can see a Samsung, HTC, Motorola, maybe even LG and Sony join the Nexus ranks. And those who have used/owned Nexus devices can attest that these stock Android devices blow every other Android device out of the water and blow the iPhone and any other phone (Hint, Hint) out of the water.
There may be one advantage that Nokia may have over the next Nexus phones. That is carrier. With the ability to buy Nexus devices (unlocked) from online, Google may forgo the carriers and sell unlocked. Granted, your typically person may buy their phone still under a 2 year contract, but if Google “pushes” competitive prices, say $250 for an Unlocked Galaxy Nexus, $350 to $550 for unlocked phones, and push how much you can save buying your phone unlocked and going pre-paid….? Nokia may have some trouble.
